updated from original post on at Wat Dhammamongkol

I always love to come back to Wat Dhammamongkol, which is now much easier with the Sky Train than many years ago when the last BTS Station was still far from the temple and I had to catch a taxi for the last few miles.  The temple has come a long way from what it looked like during my first visits, though some of the monks I know from here are still around. It is always a great temple to visit for a special ceremony, a buddhist holiday or just for a meditation.  Usually I also visit the museum in the upper floors of the huge pagoda, but this visit the lift was closed or broken and no light was on in the staircase, so I had to skip it. There is now also a little cafe on the temple grounds which provided shade and cold drinks during my visit in the hot season!
